Shankar Golden Transport Service

Our place is over at Plot 77-78 in the Transport Nagar area of Pratap Nagar. Shankar Golden Transport Service is what we call the business. It’s a dusty part of town but that’s where all the trucks are gathered. We have a couple of small rooms where we sit and wait for the drivers to check in after their trips. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking at the schedules on the wall. It gets very loud when the big engines start up right nearby. We deal with a lot of different people every single day. Some are regular clients and some are just passing through needing a one-time job done. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It's just a few of us making sure the loads get where they need to go without too much trouble. Sometimes the rain makes the ground outside really muddy and we have to put down wooden planks just to walk to the office. That’s just part of being in this location. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years. More shops have opened up but the work stays about the same. We keep the ledger books on the desk and try to stay organized. It’s a simple setup for a transport business. If you need us, just look for the numbers 77 and 78. We stay until the job is done.
