Shiv Shakti Carriers

Shiv Shakti Carriers is based right over at 15 Thokar Chauraha, which is basically right next to the old railway station. It’s a busy spot and we’ve been here quite some time now. Most of our day is spent looking at schedules or talking to drivers who are out on the road. It gets pretty noisy with the trains and the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a while. We don't have a big corporate setup or anything like that, just a simple office where we keep the records and handle the bookings. Sometimes things go smooth and other times we are chasing down a truck that got delayed somewhere. It's just the way this business works. We see a lot of people coming and going because of the location. The old station makes it easy for folks to find us even if they aren't from this side of town. We handle all sorts of loads and try to keep everything organized, though the desk usually has a lot of papers piled up by noon. It isn't always easy work, especially when the weather is bad or the roads are blocked, but we keep at it. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They know the maps better than anyone. We usually have a pot of tea going in the afternoon. It is a practical life, just moving goods from one point to another and making sure the wheels keep turning. We are just doing our bit in the transport world.
