Rajasthan Hariyana Transport Co is situated at Thokar Chauraha in Ranapratap Nagar, right opposite the old railway station. It’s a historic part of town, and we like being near the station even if things have changed over the years. We mostly handle the lanes between here and Haryana, so we know that route very well. The office is usually pretty loud because of the trains and the traffic at the Chauraha, but we don't mind it much. It’s just the background music to our workday. We aren’t a corporate firm with a lot of rules and manuals. We just do things the way they’ve always been done—with a lot of phone calls and a bit of luck. Our staff is small, and we all wear many hats. One minute you’re doing the books and the next you’re out helping a driver check his tires. We don't put on any acts for our customers. What you see is what you get. We’ve got drivers who have been with us through thick and thin, and they’re the real heart of the business. We try to keep our prices fair and our word solid. If we say we can move something, we’ll move it. It’s a simple way to live, but it’s kept our doors open all these years near the old station.
