Public Engineering Works

We have been running things here at Public Engineering Works for a good while now. Our shop is tucked away behind the DRD office, just off the road where the Alka Hotel sits. If you know the Shastri Circle area, you know how busy it gets with all the cars and people moving about. We usually open up early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Most days involve a lot of noise from the machines and people coming in to ask about different parts or repairs. It is not a fancy place by any means. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and there is always a bit of grease on the floor no matter how much we sweep it. We spend most of our time dealing with the nuts and bolts of the work. Sometimes the traffic on the road makes it hard for the delivery trucks to pull in, but we manage. Being near the hotel means there are always new faces walking past, though most of our regulars are folks who live around here or work in the nearby offices. We keep the doors open even when it’s hot outside because the breeze helps a little. It’s just a normal workshop where we try to get things done without making a big fuss about it. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but we just keep at it.
