Larsen & Toubro Ltd Ecc Division

Up here in Abu Road, things move at their own pace. We are based in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan, working for the Larsen & Toubro Ltd Ecc Division. It gets quite hot in the summer months, so we usually keep the fans going all day while we sort through the project files. The landscape around here is pretty distinctive with the hills nearby, though we spend most of our time inside the office looking at spreadsheets and site reports. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have a lot of fancy meetings; it’s mostly just the core staff getting through the weekly tasks. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and it serves its purpose for managing the work in this region. Sometimes we have people visiting from other branches, and they always comment on how different the air is compared to the big cities. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. There’s a lot of coordination involved with the different sites, so the phones are usually busy. We grab lunch from the local places nearby or bring stuff from home. It’s a very grounded environment, nothing like those polished corporate offices you see in magazines. We just focus on the practical side of the engineering business and try to stay on top of the schedule. This little office in Rajasthan is where it all gets handled for this part of the country.
