Prakash Transport

You can find us at Shiv Shakti House, which is at 17 Chandpole in the Mahavatwari area. Prakash Transport has been running out of this building for a while now. Chandpole is a busy part of the city, and being at Shiv Shakti House puts us right in the middle of everything. The office is tucked away and it’s a bit of a climb to get to us, but it’s a good place to work. We spend our days sorting out transport schedules and making sure the drivers know where they are headed. It's a lot of coordination. The Mahavatwari area can get pretty crowded, so we have to be careful with how we time the arrivals and departures. We don't use a lot of fancy technology here. It's mostly just notebooks and a lot of talking. We have a few chairs for visitors, though it’s usually just drivers coming in to get their papers signed. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that. We focus on getting the goods moved. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. No big speeches or polished presentations here. We just show up every day, drink our tea, and make sure the trucks are on the road. It’s been our way of doing things for years and it works for us, even when the streets are chaotic. We just take one day at a time.
