Located at Pratap Nagar on the Nadhwara Road. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at maps. Patiliya Guwahati Roadline deals with a lot of long-distance stuff, especially heading out towards Guwahati. It's a long way from here. The office is usually a bit messy with paperwork and bills. We have people coming in all the time asking about rates or when their stuff will arrive. We try to be honest about the timing because traffic is unpredictable. The road outside is always loud with traffic. We’ve been at this for a while now. It’s not an easy job, staying up late to make sure a truck is loaded correctly. My cousin helps out sometimes with the accounting. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to pay the bills and keep the trucks moving. If you need something taken down the road or across states, we can usually figure it out. Most of our day is just talking to drivers and making sure they have what they need for the trip. It gets hot in the afternoons but we stay busy. It’s a simple setup we have here. Just some local guys doing transport work. No big corporate stuff here, just us and the trucks and the logs. We mostly drink tea and wait for the drivers to call in and tell us where they are.
