New Moga Transport Co

Our office is at C - 8 in Pratap Nagar Transport Nagar. It’s a busy corner of the area and there is always something going on. We have been here for a long time, and the name on the board is a bit faded now. The space inside is quite simple, just enough room for the ledgers and a few chairs. We spend a lot of time talking to people on the phone, trying to figure out where the trucks are and when they will arrive. It’s a lot of waiting and then a lot of hurrying all at once. The dusty roads of Transport Nagar mean everything in the office has a thin layer of grey on it by the end of the day. We don’t mind it much. We have a routine that works for us, even if it looks a bit chaotic to someone else. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk about the old days, and other days we don’t even have time to eat lunch. It’s not a corporate environment at all. It’s just a place where work gets done. We know our drivers well and they know us. There’s a lot of trust involved because once the truck leaves the yard, you just have to hope everything goes okay. We’ve had our share of ups and downs, but we’re still here at C - 8, doing the same daily grind.
