New Bartan Store

We've been here in Dhanmandi for a good while now, just running the New Bartan Store every day. It gets pretty loud and crowded in this part of town, especially during the afternoons when everyone is out shopping for their kitchens. We spend a lot of our time just unpacking crates and trying to find space for all the stainless steel pots and pans that come in. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. My hands are usually a bit dusty from moving the boxes around. We don't have a fancy setup here, just shelves piled high with plates, spoons, and those big pressure cookers that everyone seems to need. Sometimes the shop feels a bit small when three or four families walk in at once, but we manage. We usually open up early to beat the heat, and by the time the sun goes down, we’re mostly just sitting on the stools outside waiting for the last few customers. It’s just how things go around here. People come in, they look at the shine on a brass tray, we talk about the price for a bit, and that’s the day. There isn't much to it besides showing people what we have in stock and making sure they get something that won't break the first time they use it. We try to keep the place tidy, but with all the metal everywhere, it’s a constant battle with the dust from the street.
