Marwari Bartan House

We’ve been here at Marwari Bartan House for quite a long time now. If you head into Surajpole and find your way to Ziniret Ki Gali, that is where our shop is tucked away. It is a narrow street and things get pretty crowded during the day with people coming and going. Inside our place, it is mostly stacks of steel, brass, and aluminum. We have pots and pans of all sizes piled up against the walls. Some days it is just me here, and other days a couple of the boys help out with moving the heavier boxes around. It gets a bit dusty because of all the metal and the street traffic, but we try to keep it tidy enough for people to walk through the aisles. Most of our neighbors around here know us by name because we’ve sat in this same spot for years. You’ll see buckets and tiffins hanging near the entrance so people passing by can see what we’ve got in stock. The light inside isn’t the brightest, but it does the job. When it rains, the water flows down the lane outside and we have to move some of the displays back a bit to keep things dry. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. Just the usual stuff people need for their kitchens and homes. It’s hard work lifting the heavy crates, but it keeps us busy.
