We are located at 100 Nehru Bazar, which is right in the middle of all the noise and bustle of the city. It is an old building and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it has been our home for a very long time. Working in Nehru Bazar means you have to deal with the crowds every single day. There is no such thing as a quiet morning here. We have a lot of history in this spot. The office is filled with old registers and boxes of files that we probably should have thrown away years ago. We handle the transport work by keeping things as simple as possible. No fancy computers or complicated systems, just a lot of phone calls and writing things down by hand. It can get very crowded when a few drivers come in at once to get their instructions. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out the noise from the street. It’s a tough location for moving goods because of the traffic, but we’ve learned how to manage it over the decades. Sometimes we wonder if we should move to a bigger place, but 100 Nehru Bazar is where everyone knows to find us. It’s not perfect, and it’s definitely not modern, but it is our place and we keep it running the best we can every day.
