Nand Kishor Yadav

You can find me at Court Chauraha 28. My name is Nand Kishor Yadav and this is where I’ve set up my workspace. Being near the chauraha means there is never a quiet moment. There’s the sound of horns and people shouting throughout the day, but you get used to it after a week or two. I’ve been here long enough that I don't even hear the noise anymore. The office is small and the light isn't the best, but it serves its purpose. I spend a lot of time just sitting here waiting for the next person to come in. We have a couple of old wooden chairs for visitors and a big desk that has seen better days. I don't bother with fancy decorations or marketing stuff because people around here already know where I am. Usually, I start my day with a cup of tea from the stall just around the corner and then I get to work. It’s a straightforward life. I handle the paperwork and try to keep things moving along. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the window, but we just put a bucket there and keep going. It’s just a local office doing local work. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. If you are at the crossroads, you’re basically already here. Just look for the number twenty-eight on the door and walk right on inside.
