You can find me over at Maharana Uday Singh Market 12, right in the Udaipole area. It’s a busy part of the city, and there’s always something going on just outside the window. Being in a market area means there is a lot of noise, but I’ve grown to like the hum of it. My office is a small room packed with files and books. I’ve been practicing law here for years, and most people in the market know where to find me. I handle a lot of different things, from property disputes to helping people with their business licenses. It’s a lot of manual work, writing things out and making sure the stamps are in the right place. I don't have a computer that works all the time, so I still rely a lot on paper. Clients come in, we have a glass of water, and they tell me their troubles. I listen and try to figure out the best way to handle it under the law. It’s a very grounded way of working. There’s no corporate talk here, just plain speaking. I tell people what I think and what the likely outcome will be. Sometimes the news isn't what they want to hear, but I think it is better to be honest about it. The market closes up in the evening, and that’s when I finally get some peace to finish my paperwork for the day. It is a long day but it is good work. I wouldn't have it any other way.
