Nalwaya Transport Co is found inside Delhi Gate. It is a very old and busy part of the city. Being inside the gate means there is always something happening right outside our door. The streets are narrow and it can be a bit of a squeeze, but we have managed to work from here for years. We deal with all sorts of transport needs. It is mostly about coordinating with people who have stuff to move and the drivers who have the space. Our office is small and filled with the smell of old paper and city air. We dont use any fancy technology, just our phones and some ledgers that we have been using forever. It is a very local way of doing things. Everyone around Delhi Gate knows us. We spend a lot of time talking to other business owners in the area while we wait for news on the trucks. It’s not a polished operation, but it is reliable in its own way. We tell it like it is. If the road is blocked or a truck is delayed, we let people know. There is no use in pretending things are perfect when they are not. It’s a tough business sometimes, but we have a good rhythm. We just keep doing what we have always done, year after year, right here inside the gate. It is just our daily life and we dont plan to change how we operate it anytime soon.
