Millennium

Down on the south side of Dabok, at number 51, is where we run Millennium. It's not a very big operation, just a steady one. We’ve been at this location for some time now. The building is a bit old, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it serves our purpose. Most of our day is spent handling orders and talking to people who come by looking for help. We don't have a lot of staff, usually just a couple of us doing everything from cleaning the floor to managing the registers. The south side of Dabok gets a lot of wind, so we have to keep the doors shut to keep the dust out. Inside, it's mostly quiet until a customer walks in. We have some wooden shelves along the walls that we built ourselves. They aren't perfectly straight, but they hold everything we need. I usually make tea on a small stove in the back around four in the afternoon. It’s a simple routine. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or big signs. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. It’s an honest way to spend the day. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if there's a lot of work left, but usually, we like to head home once the sun goes down. It is a quiet spot, and we like it that way.
