I have been sitting in this office on Residency Road for a long time now. It’s on the second floor, right above the South Indian Bank branch. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying bags, but you get used to it after a week or two. Most days start with me opening the windows to let some air in, though the traffic noise from the street can get pretty loud by noon. I’ve known the people working at the bank downstairs for years, and we often nod to each other in the morning. The office itself isn't anything fancy. It has my old wooden desk, a few chairs for whoever drops by, and stacks of papers that I really should organize better. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour, and I just sit there watching the cars go by. It’s a busy part of town, but my corner feels alright once I’m settled in. I don’t really have a big staff or anything, just a quiet place to get things done. People usually find me by looking for the bank sign first. If you miss 2-A, you probably went too far towards the main intersection. Anyway, that is where I spend most of my day, from morning until the sun starts to go down behind the buildings across the road. It isn't much, but it's where I work.
