Madri Industrial Area is a tough place to work because it’s always so dusty and loud with all the factories nearby. Our office is right at Madri Choraha No-1 which is a very busy intersection. You can’t really miss it if you’re driving through. There are always trucks lined up waiting to turn. We’ve been at this spot for a long time now. The building is a bit old and the windows don't close all the way but we like the location. It’s easy for the drivers to find us. Inside, there are just a few chairs and a table piled high with papers. We don't have any air conditioning so we just leave the door open and hope for a breeze. Sometimes a cow wanders by the entrance and we have to shoo it away. Work at Mahima Transport Co starts early, usually before the sun is even fully up. We like to get the loading done before it gets too hot. The guys who work the yard are good people who have been with us for years. We share lunch together under the shade of the big tree out front. It’s not a glamorous job and we don't pretend it is. We just focus on getting the goods from one place to another without too much trouble. Every day brings a different set of problems to solve but that’s just part of the routine here in Madri. We usually close up when the streetlights come on.
