If you are driving down the NH-8 near Sukher, you’ll probably spot us right across from the Eklingnath Petrol Pump. It’s a busy spot, always plenty of trucks fueling up and moving through. Mahalaxmi Transport Co has been operating from this location for years. We’ve seen the road change quite a bit, getting wider and busier as more stuff moves through this part of the country. Our day starts early, usually before the sun is even up, checking schedules and making sure the drivers are ready to go. The petrol pump across the way is a good landmark for people trying to find us. It gets pretty noisy with all the traffic, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't a big corporate setup or anything like that. It’s just us here, making sure goods get where they need to go. Sometimes things get delayed because of traffic or a breakdown, but that is just how it goes in transport. We try to keep things moving as best as we can. Most of the work involves a lot of talking to people, figuring out routes, and making sure the trucks are in decent shape for the long hauls. It’s a lot of practical work and not much else. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing team. People usually hear about us through word of mouth or just see our office while they are stopping for fuel.
