Late Gopinath More Farmer Producer Company Limited is situated in Dahiphalkaij. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the name of the place, but everyone in Bid knows where Dahifalwadmavli is. The office is set up at Shivaji Bhimrao Kambale’s house. We spend a lot of time sitting around on plastic chairs talking about the weather and the prices for our produce. It’s a local operation, mostly just neighbors and family friends working together. We named the company after Gopinath More to show some respect for the past. The roads to get here are a bit bumpy, especially after it rains, but we are used to that. Being in a rural part of Beed means we have to travel a lot to get things done. Sometimes we meet early in the morning before it gets too hot to think. The paperwork for the government takes up a lot of our energy, but it’s part of the job. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We just want to get better prices for what we grow. Most of us have been farming all our lives, so we know how tough it can be. This company is our way of trying to stay organized. It’s just us doing our thing in our own corner of the world. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign, just the people and the work.
