Kamalnath Transport Co

Our office is at 38 Delhi Gate in the Nayapura area and it’s a place that never really sleeps. Being near the gate means there is constant movement of people and vehicles. We’ve been here at Kamalnath Transport Co for a long time. The building is one of those old ones with thick walls and narrow stairs. It stays relatively cool inside even when the pavement outside is scorching. We have a small window that looks out onto the street and I spend a lot of time watching the world go by while I’m on the phone. Most of our work involves local transport and we know the shortcuts through the city better than anyone. The office is usually a mess of invoices and empty water bottles but we know where everything is. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or polished floors. The floor is just plain concrete and it’s seen a lot of boots over the years. Sometimes the traffic at Delhi Gate gets so backed up that we can’t even get a scooter out of the alley. We just take it in stride. You can’t get angry at the traffic or you’ll be mad all day. We just drink our tea and wait for the gap to open up. It’s a steady life and we’ve built some good relationships with the shopkeepers nearby. We help them and they help us. That's just how we do things.
