Prem Nagar is a busy spot, especially with the university nearby on University Road. Our place, Jaina Industrial Suppliers at number 11, has been supplying parts and tools to locals for quite some time. The shelves are heavy with boxes of bolts, screws, and various industrial bits that most people wouldn’t even know the names of. It smells like metal and machine oil in here, which is something you get used to after the first week. We get all sorts coming in, from students working on projects to contractors who need something specific for a job site. Sometimes finding a particular size of washer takes a few minutes because things get shifted around on the racks. The building itself is older, and the stairs up to the small office area creak a bit every time you step on them. We keep a ledger on the desk to track orders, and the phone rings pretty often with people asking if we have this or that in stock. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We have a small bench outside where delivery guys sit for a minute to catch their breath and have some water. Most days it’s just about managing the stock and making sure the orders are ready to go out. Prem Nagar 11 is easy to find if you know the road. We don't change much around here, the layout is the same as it was years ago. It works for us and the people who shop here. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we have to keep the boxes off the floor there.
