Ghatawali Mataji Farmer Producer Company Limited

We've been around the Railway Station road area in Govala for a bit now. It's just a bunch of us from the Debari and Girwa parts who decided to pool things together. Vardi Shankar Sharma's place is where we handle most of the paperwork and meetings. It gets busy near the station, but it's handy for moving stuff. We don't really have a big office with fancy chairs. Mostly we just sit around and figure out what the crops need or who is selling what this season. It started because individual farming was getting tough with prices going up for seeds and fertilizer. Now that we're Ghatawali Mataji Farmer Producer Company Limited, it feels a bit more official on paper, but on the ground, it's the same dirt and same sun. We deal with the local weather just like everyone else around here. Some years are good, some are dry and dusty. We try to help each other out with equipment when someone's tractor is down or when someone needs an extra hand during the harvest. It isn't always smooth sailing. Sometimes we argue about which seeds are better or when to sell the grain at the market. But we're all neighbors at the end of the day. If you're passing by the Debari area, you'll see us working the fields or hanging out near the station road. It's just local work by local people trying to keep the farms going. Nothing too complicated about it, just life in the village.
