Geetanjali Salon

At 46, Main Road Ashwini Bazar, Geetanjali Salon is usually pretty busy from the moment we unlock the doors. Ashwini Bazar is a crowded place, so there is always noise coming in from the street. We have the usual chairs and big mirrors that need constant cleaning because of the hairspray and dust. Most of us have worked here for a long time, so we know the regulars who come in every month for a trim or a shave. We don't do anything too fancy, just the standard stuff people need to look decent. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so someone is always walking around with a broom. It’s a small space, and when all the chairs are full, it gets a bit cramped and loud with everyone talking over the sound of the fans. We keep some old magazines on the table for people waiting, though most just look at their phones now. The water pressure can be a bit moody sometimes, but we make it work. We aren't part of some giant chain, just a local spot where you can get your hair done without a lot of fuss. It gets especially hectic during wedding season when everyone wants to look their best at the same time. We just keep our heads down and keep working until the last customer is gone. It is a simple life here in the bazar and we like the people who visit us.
