Ashi Beauty Parlor

Ashi Beauty Parlor is located right on Badgaon Road. I usually get here a little before ten to open the shutters and get the air moving. It gets pretty dusty out there with all the cars and bikes going past all day long, so the first thing I do is wipe down the counters and the big mirrors. It’s just a small shop, nothing too big or complicated. We’ve got a couple of chairs and the usual tools for hair and skin. Most people who come in live nearby and they just want something simple. I spend a lot of time sweeping up hair. It's funny how it gets into every corner no matter how much you clean. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise but we're used to it by now. The tea stall guy brings over a cup in the afternoon which is nice. We don't have a big sign or anything, just enough so people can find the place. If you are walking down Badgaon Road you will see us. It’s just me and maybe one other person here most days. We do haircuts, threading, and some basic facials when people ask for them. It’s not a fancy life but it’s what we do. The lighting is okay, though I think one of the bulbs is starting to flicker a bit. I’ll have to fix that tomorrow morning when I have time for it.
