Ganpat Choudhary

I’ve been at this spot near Thokar Chauraha for a while now. My place is on the first floor, right above Ganpati Medicals. It’s a busy area because the old railway station is just across the road, so there are always people moving about. You can hear the trains sometimes, though not as much as you used to. Finding me isn't too hard if you just look for the medical store sign. The stairs to get up here are a bit narrow, and I usually keep a few extra chairs in the hallway for when it gets crowded. The office isn't very large, just enough room for my desk and some cabinets where I keep all the files. Most mornings, I get in around ten, after the traffic at the Chauraha settles down a little. It gets quite dusty with all the vehicles passing by, so I have to wipe down the table almost every hour. I usually grab tea from the stall around the corner around noon. The light in the afternoon is actually quite nice, even if the building is old. I don't have a big team or anything, just me and a helper who comes in later. We just do our work and try to stay out of the heat. It’s a simple setup, really, but it works for what I need to do every day. I've thought about moving, but I like being near the old station too much.
