We’re based at E-103 on Road No. 1C in the Madri Industrial Area, or MIA as most people call it. Choksi Contacts has been tucked away in this corner of Udaipur for quite some time. Our work involves electrical contacts and specialized metal parts. It’s a technical job, but the way we run the place is pretty old-school. The workshop floor is where everything happens. We have a few machines that have been with us since the start, and they still run better than some of the newer ones we’ve tried. The office is small and usually has blueprints or order forms scattered across the desks. We don’t have a big sign outside or a lobby for visitors. Most of our clients are other industrial companies who know exactly what they need from us. We don’t spend time on polished presentations. If someone needs a part, they come in, we talk about the specs, and we get to work. The Madri area can be a bit rough around the edges, but it’s a good place for a business like ours. We have a small crew, and everyone knows their job. We just try to keep our heads down and produce parts that don't fail. It’s not a glamorous business, but it’s what we know. We close up in the evenings and do it all again the next morning. It is steady work for a small town like this.
