Aakash Chawat

If you head down to Saheli Marg and look for number 50/A, that’s where you’ll find Aakash Chawat. I’ve been set up in this part of the city for a while now, and I’ve grown quite fond of the neighborhood. Saheli Marg is a nice place to be, with enough trees to keep the sun off the building for at least part of the day. My office is a small, functional space where I spend the majority of my time. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits every day. Usually, it’s just me and maybe one other person working on whatever project is currently on the desk. There are always books and papers piled up, and sometimes the floor is covered in drawings too. I don't use much marketing because people around here usually just find me by word of mouth. It’s a practical way to live, focusing on the work instead of the image. I handle various local tasks and help people out with their specific needs. The atmosphere is quiet, which helps when I need to think about a difficult problem or a complex layout. Most of my day is spent answering emails or sketching out ideas on a yellow legal pad. It’s a bit messy and sometimes I lose my favorite pen, but the work gets finished and the clients are usually satisfied with the result.
