Ican Architecture Design Studio

We are located down in Varkala, right on Sree Narayana College Road in the Chemmaruthy area. It’s a decent spot to work from, even if the road gets a bit loud when the college students are heading home in the afternoon. Ican Architecture Design Studio is basically just us in a small room with a few computers and a lot of paper rolls scattered around the corners. Usually, one of us is busy looking at a screen while someone else is trying to find a pen that actually works. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The building isn't anything fancy, just a plain structure that stays relatively cool during the hottest parts of the day. People sometimes struggle to find the exact door because the signage isn't the biggest, but we are easy enough to spot once you're on the right stretch of road near the college. The morning starts with clearing off the desks from the night before. We deal with a lot of local stuff, mostly folks from Thiruvananthapuram coming in with their ideas. Most days, it's just about getting the measurements right and making sure the files are saved correctly. We don't have a big reception desk or anyone to greet you with a coffee; it's more like you walk in and we're already halfway into a drawing. Sometimes we take a break to walk down the road for some tea. It's a simple, honest setup we have here.
