Formz Architects

We are set up in Kodunganoor, which is a bit removed from the main city center of Thiruvananthapuram. Formz Architects has been here for a good while. Our office is a simple one, nothing too flashy or modern on the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just open space with several drafting stations and a lot of natural light coming through the windows in the morning. We don't follow a strict corporate dress code or anything like that; we just show up and get to work on the drawings. The neighborhood is fairly calm, which helps when we need to focus on complex layouts. Sometimes the local tea seller comes by, and we take a short break outside to stretch our legs. Our desks are usually piled high with site reports and rolls of tracing paper. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to polish our image for the public. What you see is a bunch of people who spend their time thinking about buildings and how to put them together. The office floor is concrete and the walls are just painted a basic white. We have a few plants that someone remembers to water once in a while. It’s a very practical environment where the work is the main thing we worry about. Most days are long, but we like the pace of things here in Kodunganoor. It feels like a real community and we just do our part in it.
