Thiru Annamalaiyar Equipment Parts

Our place, Thiru Annamalaiyar Equipment Parts, is located right at 506 Main Road. We are very close to the Avloorpet Railway Gate, so we hear the trains passing by all day long. It becomes a background noise you eventually stop noticing after working here for a few weeks. The shop is filled with all sorts of parts for different kinds of equipment. It is heavy stuff, mostly metal, so the shelves are reinforced and everything has a bit of a rugged feel to it. There is usually a bit of dust on the boxes because we are right on the main road and the trucks kick up a lot of dirt as they go past. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you come in, you are basically walking right into the warehouse area. We spend a lot of time searching through bins to find exactly the right bolt or gear that someone needs. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting things and moving them around. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but we know our way around the aisles. Most of us have been here long enough to know where the odd parts are kept. It’s a straightforward business. We open the doors in the morning, deal with the traffic on the main road, and help the people who stop by. It is just a normal shop doing its thing near the tracks.
