We’ve been here at 61, Nariyapattu Road for a while now. It’s a quiet spot in Nariyapattu, but people find us easily enough. J B L Traders isn't a big operation, just a few of us working together. Most days start early here. We handle a lot of different things, whatever comes through the door really. Sometimes the road gets dusty, but we keep the doors open anyway. We know the neighbors and they know us. It’s not fancy. There’s no big sign with flashing lights, just our name on the front. We just get on with the work. Dealing with supplies and trade takes up most of our time. You might see us unloading stuff in the mornings. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s how it goes when you’re busy. We’ve seen the area change a bit over the years. Some shops closed, others opened up. We just stay put right here. If you’re walking down Nariyapattu Road, you’ll pass right by us. We don’t do much talking, mostly just focused on the day's tasks. It’s a straightforward way to run a place. We try to keep things organized, though it doesn't always look that way to an outsider. Just a local trade business doing what we do. Nothing more to it than that. People stop by, ask questions, and we help them out with what they need from J B L Traders.
