Pilots India

You can find us over at Pilots India, situated at No.1, Tagore Street. We are tucked away in Krishna Puram, right off M.T.H. Road in the Ambattur (Ot) area. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you aren’t used to the local turns, but it’s home for us. The building is older, and the paint is peeling a bit in the corners, but it holds everything we need. We spend our mornings checking the lists and getting the tools ready. Ambattur is a loud place with all the industrial stuff going on, so we are used to the background noise. It becomes like silence after a while. We have a small crew. Most of us take the bus or ride scooters to work. We don't have a fancy break room, so we usually sit outside or at our benches when it’s time for a snack. It’s a practical way to live. We handle the daily tasks without much fuss. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just sit and wait it out, maybe talk about the local news. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a group of people working at Tagore Street, trying to do a decent job every day. The work is repetitive sometimes, but there is a certain comfort in knowing exactly what needs to be done when you walk through the door.
