Chinmaya Harihara Vidyalaya

Chinmaya Harihara Vidyalaya is located in Sarveshvara Nagar, which is part of Tamaraipakkam. We are out in the Tiruvallur area, so it feels a bit more like the countryside than the city. The school has been sitting here for a good while. Most of the families around here send their kids to us. We have the usual classrooms and a playground that gets quite dusty when the wind blows. It isn’t a flashy place. We have some old trees that give a bit of shade in the afternoons. The staff is mostly local people who have been teaching for years. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. There is a lot of noise during the lunch break, which is to be expected with so many children in one spot. We focus on the books and making sure the kids know their numbers and letters. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just open the windows and keep going. The road outside is usually quiet except for when school lets out. We don’t have any fancy gadgets, just the basics that a school needs to function properly. You’ll find us easily if you are heading toward Thamaraipakkam. It’s a steady kind of place where things don’t change too fast. We just keep the gates open and the classrooms ready every single morning.
