D.B.S. Bricks

D.B.S. Bricks is over on Udumalai Road in Chikkinapuram, Dharapuram. We are at the spot we call Unit 1. It’s right on the main road, so you can't really miss it if you are driving through. We have been here for quite some time now. The yard is where all the action happens. It’s not a polished place. There is red dust everywhere, and the ground is often uneven. We spend most of our time out in the sun, moving things around. We don't have a big corporate office or a staff of people in suits. It’s just a few of us doing the heavy lifting. The noise from the traffic on Udumalai Road is constant. We’ve grown used to it over the years. Most of our customers are locals from Dharapuram who are doing some building. They just pull their trucks in and we load them up. We don't bother with fancy slogans or big mission statements. We just focus on getting the work done every day. Sometimes it's tiring, and the heat in Chikkinapuram can be tough. But it’s the work we know. We don't have a marketing team. Word of mouth and the sign on the road are enough for us. We just try to keep enough stock ready for whoever needs it. It’s a plain and simple business, and we are just part of the local landscape.
