We are located at number 15 in Mahaveer Colony, over in Sabapathy Puram. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main market, which is nice for getting work done without too many distractions. Our agency operates out of a fairly simple building. We don’t have any big glass windows or fancy lights outside. Most of our day is spent handling orders and talking to suppliers on the phone. The office is filled with filing cabinets and ledgers because we still like to keep track of things on paper as well as on the computer. There’s a bit of a rhythm to the day, starting with checking the mail and ending with making sure all the packages are ready for the next morning. We have a few staff members who have been with us for years, so we all know how the other person works. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when several deliveries arrive at once and there’s no place to put them. We end up moving chairs and tables just to make a path through the room. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is kept. Our neighbors in the colony are used to seeing us coming and going at odd hours. We don’t do much advertising; most people find us because they’ve been dealing with us for a long time. It’s just a steady kind of life.
