A J Hair Lines (Saloons & Beauty Parlours)

A J Hair Lines is what we call ourselves, and you can find the shop in Kavundam Palayam. We are positioned right opposite the Fire Station on the main Mettupalayam road in Coimbatore. It is a good landmark because everyone knows where the fire station is. We handle hair for men and we have the beauty parlour side of things too for the women in the neighborhood. It’s a bit of a mix here. The Mettupala area stays pretty active, so there is always a bit of dust and noise from the road, but we try to keep the inside nice. We didn't want a place that felt like those big chains you see in the malls. We wanted A J Hair Lines to feel like a regular part of Kavundam Palayam. Our mirrors are a bit old, but they show you what you need to see. We have a few chairs lined up and some benches for people waiting their turn. Most days go by pretty fast. The traffic on Mettupalayam road never really stops, so we see a lot of people passing by. We have been here long enough that we don't really need a big sign. People just know where the fire station is and they look across the street and see us. It is just a practical place for a haircut or a bit of threading. We do our work and let the customers get back to their day.
