Gajarupa Exports Limited

Down at 45/8/2 on GNT Road, that is where Gajarupa Exports Limited is set up. Pogathota is a busy area, and being on the main road means we hear the trucks rumbling by all day and night. It is an export business, so we deal with a lot of shipping containers and heavy wooden crates. It is not just sitting in an office; there is a lot of time spent out in the yard checking the cargo. We have to make sure everything is packed tight and the labels are correct before the trucks head off toward the port. The sun beats down on the asphalt out there, making it feel pretty hot during the summer months. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay in the shade when we are not loading. It is a lot of logistics, really. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed and we have to reorganize the whole warehouse to make room for new stuff coming in. It is a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We have got a small crew and we all know our roles. We do not bother with fancy uniforms or anything. Just plain clothes that can get a bit dirty from the dust and the grease. It is a practical place for practical work. We just focus on getting the goods from point A to point B without any major headaches.
