We operate out of No. 67 West Car Street in T Gudi. Our group is called the Tirunelveli Banana Farmers Producer Company Limited. As you can probably tell from the name, we are all about the bananas grown around here. This region has always been good for them, and most of us have been in the plantations since we were kids. We figured it made more sense to work together rather than competing against each other all the time. Being a producer company means we can pool our resources for things like transport and better fertilizers. It’s not a corporate setup with suits and ties. You’ll usually find us in our work clothes, probably complaining about the price of fuel or the wind knocking down the plants. The office on West Car Street is just a hub for our paperwork and meetings. It gets pretty loud when everyone shows up to talk about the next harvest. We don’t have any secret formulas or high-tech systems. It’s just soil, water, and a lot of patience. Growing bananas takes time and you have to watch the weather closely. We’re just a bunch of locals from T Gudi and the surrounding parts of Tirunelveli trying to make sure our families are taken care of. It’s honest work, even if it is exhausting some days. We don't spend much on advertising because the fruit speaks for itself. We're just here, doing the work day in and day out.
