Kalaiyarkovil Groundnut Farmers Producer

We are the Kalaiyarkovil Groundnut Farmers Producer. Our main spot is at 1/84-1 on Middle Street in Pallithammam. It is a small village area and everyone kind of knows where everyone else is. We focus mostly on groundnuts because that is what grows well around here. Our office on Middle Street is where we handle the member registrations and the bags of seed. It gets a bit crowded in there when it is time to collect the harvest, but we make it work somehow. It is a simple building, nothing fancy at all. We have got some old chairs and a desk where we do the accounts. Pallithammam is a good place for this kind of work because we are right in the middle of the farming community. You can usually hear the tractors going by outside. We spend a lot of our time just talking to the local farmers about how the groundnut prices are looking or if the rain is going to hold off long enough for us to get the drying done. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that, just a few of us trying to get the best for the people who grow the crops. If you come by Middle Street, you will probably see us outside talking shop or moving some equipment around. We are just trying to do our best for the groundnut farmers.
