Siddu Farmer

Siddu Farmer is situated at 1/69, Kamatchipuram Pirivu, right along Mellakal Main Road. We are part of the Mellamathur community. Working on the land here means we are always busy with something, whether it is planting or fixing a fence. The location is good because the main road is right there, making it easy to move things in and out. We don't have an office staff or anything like that. It is just us doing the daily labor that needs to be finished. The sun can be quite harsh in the middle of the day, so we usually start very early in the morning. People know us as the place on the corner near the pirivu. We have lived in this area for a long time and know the soil and the seasons pretty well. It is a simple life, but it is honest work. Sometimes we sit out by the road in the evening just to catch a breeze after a long day. We don't bother with complicated technology much. Most of our tools are ones we have used for a decade or more. If you come by Mellamathur, you will see us out there working. We don't have any big marketing plans; we just focus on what we are doing today. The gate is usually open if someone needs to stop by and talk. It is a practical way to live and we wouldn't change much about it. We just keep our heads down and keep going.
