Nettur Technical Training Foundation

Down in Tirumangalam, specifically at 59 G/4 Arumugam North Second Street, you’ll find the Nettur Technical Training Foundation. It’s in the Kamarajapuram area, which is part of the North Zone. We spend our days teaching people how to use their hands and work with machines. This isn't a place for sitting around; it’s about grease, tools, and practical learning. The air is often hot, especially during the summer months in Tamil Nadu, so we keep the fans running high in the workshops. I’ve seen so many students come through these doors looking for a way to start a career. We show them how to handle equipment and understand the basics of technical work. The building is functional, designed for labs and classrooms rather than comfort. There is a lot of noise from the machines when the students are practicing, but that’s the sound of work getting done. We keep things very direct and simple. If a part is broken, we show them how to fix it. If a measurement is off, we do it again. It’s about building skills that actually matter in the real world. Most of us here have been in the industry for years, so we just pass on what we know. It’s a busy place, and there’s always something to organize or a piece of equipment that needs maintenance. We just keep moving forward one day at a time.
