If you drive down Kalakad Road in Nanguneri, you’ll find us easily enough. We’ve been here in Tirunelveli for a good bit, focusing on teacher education. The campus has a lot of open space, which is nice when the breeze picks up, but mostly it’s just the hot sun we deal with. We spend our days teaching people how to become teachers, which is a bit funny when you think about it. The classrooms are simple—desks, boards, and a lot of books. There’s no big fancy tech everywhere, just the stuff that actually works for learning. My desk is usually covered in lesson plans and student registers that need marking. We have a lot of local folks coming here, and it feels like a small community. You won't find any polished marketing people here; we are just staff members who have been in the education line for years. We handle the paperwork, organize the practice teaching sessions in local schools, and try to keep the building from getting too dusty. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just move the chairs outside under the trees to keep the lessons going. It’s an honest way to make a living, and the students seem to appreciate the practical way we do things. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we get the job done and the students graduate, and that’s what matters at the end of the day.
