The office is tucked away at A11/31, St. Thomas Road in Maharaja Nagar. If you look for us there, you will find us working through heaps of paperwork. Exporting and importing things sounds fancy, but it is really just about making sure things get from point A to point B without too much trouble. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking emails to see where a container is. We handle a lot of different goods. Some days it is textiles, other times it might be something else entirely. We started small, just a few of us in a room with a couple of desks. Now things are a bit busier, but the vibe is still the same. We know the local guys at the shipping yard and the truck drivers who come by. It gets hot in the afternoon, so we usually take a break for tea around four. There is always something going wrong, like a delay at the port or some missing documents, but that is part of the job. We don’t spend money on big advertisements. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they saw our sign while driving through the neighborhood. We just want to make sure the customers get what they ordered. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We have been in this spot for years and don't plan on moving.
