If you go down 22nd Street in Shanthi Nagar, you’ll find us at number 31/536. It’s a regular street with houses and a few small businesses like ours mixed in. We have been working out of this spot for quite some time now. The front door is usually open to let in some air, especially when it’s humid outside. We don’t have a big receptionist or a lobby. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just see one of us at a desk or sorting through some stock in the back. The shelves are mostly full of old records and stuff we use every day. It’s not particularly quiet here because there’s always something going on in the neighborhood. Dogs barking or people walking by is just the normal background noise for us. We started this because we needed a way to make a living and it just grew into what it is today. We don’t have a fancy website or a bunch of marketing people. We just answer the phone and talk to whoever calls. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have a big shipment coming in, and the boxes pile up near the entrance. We just move them out as fast as we can. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. Most of our neighbors are friendly enough, and we like the location. It feels like home after all these years.
