Out on the Benares-Cape Road in Gangaikondan, you’ll find Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills Ltd. We are located at 75/8, which is a bit of a distance from the main Tirunelveli town. It’s a large site because milling flour takes up a lot of room. The sound of the rollers is something you hear all day long, and it becomes like background music after a while. We have workers coming in from the nearby villages, and we’ve all become like a big, slightly dysfunctional family over the years. The office is just a small part of the whole operation, usually filled with the smell of fresh wheat and a bit of dust. We don't have anything fancy like glass partitions or expensive carpets.
