You can find us at 76 Railway Road in Tenkasi. Being right by the railway means we hear the trains passing by all day long at all hours. It’s a sound we don’t even notice much anymore, it just becomes part of the background. We make various concrete products right here on the site. It’s a lot of molding, pouring, and waiting for things to set properly. The sun in Tenkasi is usually strong enough to help with drying the concrete, even if it makes the work a bit tiring for us during the day. We have a yard full of different items like well rings, pipes, and blocks. Sometimes people come by looking for something specific for their property or a garden project. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything fancy. Most people just see the stacks of concrete from the road and stop in to see what we have. The office is just a small corner in the shed where we keep the bills and the ledger. It’s usually covered in a thin layer of grey dust from the cement. We try to keep the orders moving so nothing sits around in the yard for too long. Tenkasi is a nice place to work, even with the intense heat in the summer. We talk to the neighbors and the people passing through on the way to the station. It’s a simple, steady kind of job that keeps us busy. We’ve been doing this for a while.
