Skf Steels & Roofing

Our place, Skf Steels & Roofing, is tucked away at Plot No.- 6 in New Raja Colony. If you know where Bheema Nagar is, we are right near the Seventh Day School. You can usually hear the kids during their break time while we are out here moving roofing sheets around. We handle a lot of steel stuff, mostly for roofs. It’s heavy work, especially when the sun is out and the metal gets hot. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The colony has changed quite a bit since we first moved in. We mostly deal with people building sheds or fixing up their terrace roofs. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s just us and a couple of helpers who know how to handle the material without bending it. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time getting into the narrow lane, but we make it work somehow. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory because if we run out of a certain color of roofing, someone has to wait. We don't like making people wait. The office is small, just enough space for a couple of chairs and some samples of the steel. It gets a bit crowded when more than two people show up at once. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down a little bit. It’s a decent way to earn a living in this part of town and we hope to stay here for many more years.
