Vinayaka Agencies is tucked away at No. 115 on the 2nd Cross in Pon Nagar. It’s a residential-looking street, so people sometimes have a bit of trouble finding the exact house number, but we’ve been here long enough that the locals can point you our way. We act as an agency for various goods, so there are always stacks of cardboard boxes and packets sitting around. The front room is where we do most of the talking and handle the paperwork. It’s a bit of a squeeze when a delivery arrives and we have to move things around to make space. Pon Nagar is a busy little pocket, and the 2nd Cross is often lined with scooters and cycles, making it a bit tight for bigger vehicles. We spend our days mostly on the phone or checking what’s come in and what needs to go out. The ceiling fan in the main room makes a bit of a clicking noise that we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We aren't trying to be anything huge, just a reliable spot for people to get their supplies handled. Usually, it's just a couple of us here, and we take turns going out for lunch or grabbing a coffee from the stall nearby. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze we can. It’s a steady routine day in and day out, and we like the neighborhood vibe.
