Hornbill

Hornbill is located inside the Padmini Resort on Rangagora Road. It is out here in Tinsukia, near the Padumani area. It is a bit quieter than being right in the middle of the main town center, which is nice. We share the space with the resort, so there is usually some greenery around and a bit more breathing room. We started this because there wasn't much else around this specific road for people to stop at. The building has a simple look to it, nothing too over the top. We spend a lot of our time just making sure the place is ready for whoever walks through the door. Sometimes it is travelers passing through, and other times it is just local families coming for a meal. We have some wooden furniture and the windows let in a decent amount of light during the day. Rain is pretty common here, so we spend a lot of time mopping the floors when people track in mud. It is just part of living in this part of the country. We keep the kitchen going and try to make sure the food is hot when it hits the table. There is no big corporate office telling us what to do; it is just us local folks running the show. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just open up and work.
