We are located on Caico Road in Valarkkavu. The Canning Industries Cochin Ltd has been part of this neighborhood for a long time now. People around here usually just know us by the building on the road. It’s a pretty straightforward setup where we handle the canning and processing of different products. The air around the place often smells like whatever is being processed that day. We have a team of local workers who have been with us through many seasons. The building itself is an older style, which we like because it has a bit of history to it. We aren't trying to be the most modern facility in the world; we just want to make sure the canning is done properly and the quality stays steady. Valarkkavu is a nice area, a bit quieter than the main city center, which makes coming to work a little more pleasant. We spend a lot of time checking the seals on the cans and making sure the machinery is kept clean and running well. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it’s important. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the production floor and making sure our containers are filled and ready for the market. It is a simple, traditional business that has stayed true to its roots here on Caico Road.
